Tile adhesive is typically packed in multiwall kraft valve bags that combine powder retention, filling efficiency, moisture control, and stackable dimensions. Suitable packaging must protect cementitious ingredients and functional additives from factory filling through storage and final delivery.
Tile adhesive commonly combines cement, graded mineral fillers, cellulose ether, redispersible polymer powder, and formulation-specific additives. These ingredients create a fine, moisture-sensitive mixture that can leak through unsuitable ventilation or form lumps after humidity exposure.
Different product grades may also behave differently during filling. Standard cement-based adhesive can have a higher bulk density than lightweight or highly polymer-modified formulations. One fixed bag specification may therefore produce different filling volumes, pressure levels, and final shapes.
Before manufacturing tile adhesive bags, the packed weight, bulk density, particle fineness, filling temperature, and required shelf life should be confirmed.
A corner valve enables the bag to connect directly to the filling nozzle. This limited opening helps control dust and removes the need to sew the entire top after filling.
Valve width, length, and internal construction must correspond with the machine spout. When the fit is loose, powder may escape around the nozzle. When it is too tight, bag placement becomes slow and the sleeve may tear.
Some adhesives settle quickly enough for a self-closing valve. Highly fluid or dusty formulations may benefit from a tuck-in, heat-sealable, or ultrasonic-sealable design. The closure method should be tested rather than selected only from a drawing.
Displaced air needs a controlled path out of the bag during filling. Without sufficient ventilation, the package swells, weight readings become unstable, and filling speed decreases.
Paper permeability, inter-ply channels, and micro-perforations can support air release. However, direct openings through all layers may allow fine adhesive powder to escape. Staggered ventilation helps balance filling speed with product retention.
For humid markets or long storage periods, tile adhesive packaging bags may also include coated paper or a PE barrier. The barrier arrangement must preserve enough airflow for production while reducing moisture transmission after filling.

Each symptom points to a different adjustment. Adding paper thickness will not correct a mismatched valve or poor airflow.
Trial bags should pass through filling, checkweighing, conveying, palletizing, wrapping, and storage. Operators should record cycle time, dust level, weight variation, valve closure, filled dimensions, and handling damage.
Printing also needs approval on the selected brown or white kraft paper. Product grade, mixing ratio, safety information, batch area, and application instructions should remain readable after pallet handling.
